My MBP is great except that it has some damage on the case right out of the box. So I'm thinking about sending it back. I'm still in my first 14 days of purchase.

What would you do in this situation? I suppose I can just ask for a replacement unit, or do I get my money back and then have to order a new one?

They won't give me a refurbished model right?

If it's damaged NIB I would give Apple a call and arrange to have it exchanged.

I agree! It seems to be bothering you, and you are well within the timeframe to send it back. You should get a new replacement.

A new replacement is on it's way. I'm pretty sure that mine also had a hard drive problem, it is going to fail at some point.

But Applecare was really nice. I got top priority and it's one of the fastest CTO orders from China I have seen :D

But let's hope this machine is perfect.

Agree about Applecare-at least that's been my experience with them. I am waiting for my new MBP (in the air from china as of this morning) so hopefully I won't have any of the problems you had.
