The apple case still hasn't shipped yet, and the stores didn't have them in. So the caseless iPad has been a bit vulnerable, and now there's scratches on the aluminum corners from falls and bumps. Is there any way to do something about them?

Cover them up with a case. You can't really get rid of them.

Mine is naked and it's neither fallen nor been bumped. I find that's the best way

This is interesting but it's not gonna work on the iPad since there is no chrome on it. DO NOT use that on the aluminum it will make it look awful.

What are scrathes? Sounds like an alien parasite.

A naked iPad is not more prone to falls and bumps, how do you prevent them? Stop dropping and mishandling your iPad.

If you're careful with your iPad, you really can go its lifetime without scratching or denting it. That involves a little too much commitment than many would like, though, since that would even involve putting your iPad only on soft surfaces if scratches bother you. I'd advise you just to be more careful, if you have a few marks that bother you after a month, after a year your iPad will be pretty heavily marred up with the same usage.

I got a silicone snuggie on eBay for 1 cent, plus $6 shipping from Hong Kong.

Luckily it arrived 2 days before my iPad did. Get one!
