Screen always dirty with smart folio

all, my new iPad Pro is days old and I use the smart folio and found that the folio cover leaves some sort of smudge on the screen. I clean the screen very well before I close it. Is this normal with these folios ?

I had a similar issue. I exchanged the smart folio for an Apple Pencil and got this case from Amazon https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07K6995KL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that doesn't smear and has edge protection. 🙂
