When I put a 256MB RAM chip in my ATI eMac, the right side of the screen was green and didnt see the chip. After I removed it, the screen was normal. Any ideas as what this could be? I also had a 128 from another eMac, and when installed, it wouldnt start up.

Does the ram work in other macs?. If it does then your eMac has a bad ram slot/motherboard🙁 But if it does not work in your other macs your RAM has just gone Bad🙂

The chip is currently working in my G4, I put a 512 there and it is working.

This made me laugh fair play... 🙂

The iPhone forum is basically a bunch of testosterone filled animals at eachother's throats 24/7. I avoid it all I can...
