I don't know if it's a new feature with the updates, but now, whenever there's an error (simple errors) my screen will sort of blink/glow at me for a quick second, instead of making a noise (beep kind of noise).

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
I can't remember the last time I installed an update but, this started happening about.. maybe a month now. Or maybe, I changed a setting without realizing it?

It's not a big deal really but, it's a bit of an annoyance because it catches me off guard and it's so obvious that I lose concentration when I'm doing something like photo editing, or computer graphics.

Also, I know it's not because of the new OS and it's features, I'm still running of Tiger.

I think you've got something turned on in Universal Access. Probably the "Flash the screen when the alert sound occurs" under Hearing...
