I have read a few articles that states that the brightness of a LED backlit display, such as the one in the SR and unibody Macbook Pros, will not become dimmer over its lifetime. Has Apple ever advertised this information or included it in a press release? I feel like such an important quality would want to be advertised and not overlooked, but I have not had luck finding it in on the MBP page or press releases. Any thoughts?

When they first announced LED displays they mentioned this in one of the keynote speeches. It is a very attractive reason for getting a display that is backlit with LEDs.
