When I enable the auto brightness for my screen, I notice that the screen brightness is fluctuating quite a bit, it's almost like the screen is breathing (don't know how to explain it otherwise)

Is this something that can be fixed? Kinda annoying. Only thing I seem to be able to do is disable the auto setting.

Fix your lighting? Aha, thats what used to happen to mine due to my poor lighting areas, but it worked fine in other conditions.

I prefer manually adjusting it, but that's just me.

well when you selected automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes...that means it will fluctuate and thats normal for that setting.

if you require specific settings, uncheck the box in system preferencs and manually choose the level that suites you at any given time.

I don't notice mine fluctuate that much. If it bothers you maybe you can take it in to an Apple Store to see if the sensor is working properly or change the settings so it is only manually adjustable. Hope it works out for you!
