    Hi,

I would be really grateful for any suggestions on connecting my macbook to an external monitor.

Some months ago I accidentally broke the screen on my 2007 Macbook Pro (Model A1226), and since then I've been unable to use it for recent work assignments. I've seen from several older posts that the macbook can be connected to a tv through the HDMI.

I bought this cable http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004CADYDO/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, but it doesn't seem to connect to this model (or at least nothing happens). I don't know whether I need another type of connector for this model, or if the machine itself is at fault? I'm not a rich man and can't afford to spend lots of money on various cables! I have tried the clamshell approach to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what lead I should buy to get it working?

All information and tips much appreciated.:D
