Screen Capture Not Working

I know I saw a thread about this a few months ago but couldn't find it so apologies if this is a repeat.

My screen capture isn't working. If I press Shift+Control+Command+3, then I hear the usual "picture taking" sound, but no file ever appears.

Any thoughts?

It might be saving it somewhere else other than your desktop. Try using spotlight and search "Picture 1"

Yeah, thought of that. Nothing

That's because that key combo saves it to the clipboard.

Use CMD + Shift + 3 or 4 to create a file.
