Thanks for your help. I purchased mine used from a friend at a decent discount. Still with warranty, but no Apple Care. The M2 is currently too expensive for my needs.

After the butterfly key problems, flexgate, and now possibly a cracking screen problem, I'm wondering if Apple should focus more on function and less on form.
Even if it would be in your price range, the M2 isn’t any better in that regard. At least I’ve seen cracked M2 screens also around the web. Even for the 14 and 16 models, and the M2 Pro, the displays are very fragile. The same even happens to the M1 iMac!

It seems like all Apple silicon products have upper fragile displays ffs. Mac mini has Bluetooth and display connection glitches, Mac Studio is overpriced imo.

All iPhones are draining battery like crazy and I experience as many bugs as never before with both Mac Monterey and iOS 16.

I’m so dissatisfied with Apple, I can’t put this into words. Their arrogance, all the bugs, glitches and flexgate butterfly gate display gate I mean come ufff

Apple is garbage. It’s gonna be time intensive to switch everything to Linux and Android but I’m done with Apple. I’m so done with them. Even loved to hackintosh in the good old days but I’m not even interested in that anymore. macOS has become so glitchy I’m tired of it

This is definitely an issue I’ve owned MacBooks for 13 years. I’ve never had an issue with the screen. My job upgraded our MacBooks starting in 2022. The first one’s screen went out with no crack or impact. The second computer I opened one morning and there was a tiny hair line crack. It did not go anywhere, I’ve had it for three days, it sits on a table. This is absolutely ridiculous and I’m not exaggerating. I worked for apple for 5 years and never saw this happen.

I baby my gear, especially my Macbook pro M1 pro. I never press anything on it and still my keyboard is scratching the screen. Now i discovered this pitting in my screen. The beginning of a crack? This is just ridiculous.

The tolerances are way to tight to be practical. Is Apple doing this on purpose to get get some percentage extra profit? Why would they so this? Nobody would mind a mm or 2 extra clearance between the screen and keyboard.

I made a appointment at the Genius bar in Amsterdam, lets see what they have to say.

Not cool at all if that's true. Extraordinarily fragile? Trip worthy? At least I have Apple Care. By the way, no screen issue for me thus far. Purchased in January of 2022. Pretty extensive daily use from then to now. This has become a backup computer. No transport, just use at home. Will be transporting tomorrow for the first time.
