Screen damage inside

My daughters printer fell down and hit the screen but did not damage the glass. But the screen shows all kind a funny lines. Is it repairable?🙁

What exact iMac are we talking about?
Do you have some kind of home insurance that can cover the possible repair?
www.ifixit.com has a lot of guides and parts (though a bit more expensive than other sources like eBay) on how to repair almost every aspect of Macs.

No home Insurance🙁 and it is a Imac (2006) I think I could try to buy a VGA adapter and connect a regular Monitor. Would this work?

My daughter drives me crazy sry. It is solid white, she swears it is a iMac 24" OS Intel??? Can't read the numbers on the bottom anymore🙁
