Screen diming issue on 3GS

When I turn my 3gs on from sleep, sometimes the screen stays dim. I will have to hit the sleep button again, then wake it up a second time to get the correct brightness. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Last night I noticed my screen was quite dim, but I was in my room and it was dark, so I figured the auto-brightness thought it was adequate given the low light in the room. I'm really not sure though?

The same thing has happened to me three times now. I've no idea what the cause is, but I'm not too worried by it.

as tico24 pasted, there's quite a number of threads dealing with this issue, hopefully 3.1 will correct this problem
