Greetings,

This morning when I opened my Macbook Air 2012, the display had a faded white tint.
No, it's not a brightness thing. I have it to maximum brightness but when I turned it down the tint went with it.

I tried to ask my stepfather who is in IT though not so savvy with Macs. When I brought the laptop to him, the tint went away but then when I got it back to where I'm sitting it came back. It has so far, remained.

What is this?

Please provide any photos you may have. You can try rebalancing the color with in system preferences->display.

Thanx for the response, I apologize for my delay, I was out all Sunday and was a bit out of it yesterday.

In following instructions given to me on Apple support, I shut down then restarted my Macbook. When it restarted, the tint was gone and hasn't yet returned.
