   When i go on the internet or email...it doesn't, its pretty frustrating trying to write a email on the vertical keyboard
   
   Any ideas why?

   Did you lock the screen orientation? To toggle it, double-click the home button, swipe to the far left on the bottom tray, and you'll see some icons including music control: the icon on the far left is screen orientation lock.
