Screen doesn't sleep after Jailbreak! :(

After jailbreaking on Jailbreakme, my iPhone 4 screen stays on until I turn it off. So any time I get a text or anything when I'm not around it will stay on and drain battery.

This is obviously horrible -- any ideas how to fix this?

Install ScreenDimmer from Cydia...

So I have to buy something to get it to perform like it did before the jailbreak? :-\

I understand this is more customizable, but that's not the point, and the way it was before was perfectly fine...

Am I delusional and the pre-jailbroken iphone was the same way?

No, you shouldn't. My iPhone 4 is Jailbroken, and I don't have this issue. I'd try and roll back and try again. If not, hate to ask... but have you checked your settings?

First thing I looked for was a backlight setting -- is there one? I swear I saw one but now I don't see it. I'm totally willing to look like an idiot if I missed it though.

Did you go into you settings and select 1, 2 mins etc.?

Settings/ General/ Auto-Lock aka-(Sleep)

The Brightness setting is for brightness only, it won't turn the back light off. I suggested ScreenDimmer because rather than setting(Sleep) time in 1 minute intervals, you can use seconds, as few as 10. This greatly increases you battery up time!

OMG I'm an idiot. I didn't think that setting would have been with the lock settings but I guess it makes sense. It's set to never. What a huge relief.

this only happens to me when i use the app, Palringo. if i leave the app open the screen wont sleep. thats it
