So I was happily working away on my shiny new 21.5" iMac today when all of a sudden...

No idea what's happening, but it looks like a GFX issue as it's affecting my 2nd screen too?!

Anyhow I rebooted and all was back to normal (and still is - touch wood).

Has anyone experienced this - the machine is less than a week old, is it worth calling AppleCare?

    Thanks for your advice :D

I'd call Apple if I were you.

Looks like your gpu is faulty. Take it to apple and exchange it.

And don't forget to extend AppleCare to 3 years while you are there (if you don't have it already). Apple quality is not what it used to be...
