Hi All, using my new 2.4 macbook and have noticed when watching streaming video i.e. bbc website, that the image flickers constantly. My screen is fine normally but has anyone else had this. It was always fine on my ibook. Thoughts?

Only things I can think of is out-of-date flash player or faulty hardware...
If your flash player is all up to date, then I would suggest calling Apple.
Oh, and I had a problem with my iSight that was mechanical and brought it back within the 2 weeks so if you bought your computer within 2 weeks, I would say you should bring it to an Apple store (if your Flash player is all good) and show a Genius the problem and they are likely to exchange it providing you have a receipt.
Hope this helps a bit :)

this happens on my macbook as well. i first i thought it was flip4mac but yesterday it happened with a streaming .mov movie. i hope this is easily fixable. and it's odd because i remember it working fine before.

Same problem here with my new 2.4 blackbook. Continued after upgrading ram to 4 gigs and new quicktime update.

Mine is okay on quicktime it is just from websites that there is the problem. What a bummer - a 3 week old laptop and a problem!

This is really annoying. I am trying to watch trailers and the freaking video flickers.

Same happened to my new 2.4ghz MacBook with 4gb memory, but only when watching on Apple.com tutorial videos.Youtube plays fine,or any other video site.

I have done some testing and it seems that it happens on apple.com tutorial videos only for me. When I run xp on my mac the videos run fine? Who knows?

Update; I have noticed mine only flickers on certain videos. Some streaming some downloaded. Also, it goes away in full screen mode. I am running new blackbook 2.4 with 4GB, and latest Quicktime update.

im having the same problem on my new 2.4 blackbook with the videos on the bbc website. at first i though it was the beta version of real player so switched to flip4mac but its the same in both. I have found that if i set the flip4mac options to open the video in quicktime the problem doesnt occur.

hope this is sorted soon. very annoying on a brand new laptop

I have this same thing happening to me as well on my new Macbook 2.4GHz with 4GB RAM. Only happens sometimes, with some videos, not in full screen mode. I haven't worried about it because the full screen works fine, dvd's etc. I would like to know what the problem is though. It's a relief to see that I'm not the only one having this issue.
