Has anyone else noticed an occasional screen freeze when unlocking their phone? The clock and other icons at the top of the screen will be gone when you unlock for just a second or two, but while they're gone, nothing seems to work and the screen is unresponsive. I'll try to do a quick 3D Touch on my phone icon to make a quick call and it won't register until the phone wakes up and it actually thinks that I was doing a long press.

I have tried different things and can't seem to replicate it, it just appears to happen at random.

Anyone else see this or know of a fix? It's not a deal breaker, it's the only issue I have with my phone. But I'd love to fix it if I can.

Sorry for the double post. I thought I looked for it, but I guess I missed it. Thanks for directing me in the right direction.

I'm not planning on doing a restore. Hopefully Apple will get it cleared up in a future update. It isn't all the time, but it's enough that it annoys me.

I used to suffer from it.....and at the same time I used to get infrequent requests for my iCloud / Apple ID password.

I signed out of iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, iTunes and App Store and logged back in again on all of them.

Restarted my phone and have had no further stuttering or lagging during unlocks.

Might work for you

I'll try that. I've shut off some background app refreshes which seems to help. But it still happens on occasion. I updated it and set it up as new when I got it a few weeks ago, so I'm not going through that again.

Apple just needs to fix it.

This was present in early 9.0 betas across many devices. They did fix it and now its back.

When you say you signed out of iMessage and FaceTime how did you do that? Just turned it off? Or what? I can't see where I can sign out of those.

Not happening for me on my 6S Plus (Samsung chip :p)

But I started directly from 9.2 with DFU restore and set my phone as new.
