Screen freezing when cursor is moved

I have a 2025 13 inch Mac Air with a M4, 16gigs RAM, and 256 gigs SSD on 15.7.9. Recently, a new issue has started. After having a couple days of uptime, the screen starts to freeze whenever I move the mouse. It begins with very short pauses, with the screen intermittently continuing, and with the mouse always moving smoothly (just not the rest of the content). Eventually, it gets really bad where the mouse will disappear and not be visible on the screen while moving it. It just appears completely frozen. When I restart, I get a couple more days of uptime until it starts again. I don't know what's causing this; initially I though it might be Aerospace, because it seemed to start soon after I switched to it (from Yabai, which I made sure was disabled with "yabai --stop-service"), but I've tried stopping it and the issue continues (although I haven't yet tried restarting and never starting Aerospace, because I'm really used to it now). I was initially on I believe 15.7.3 maybe, and then I updated, but it continues to happen. I do not want to update to MacOS 26 because I hate the look of Liquid Glass and I'll put it off for as long as possible; hopefully, before that, Asahi will be ready for M4s. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas? If you need more information, I'm happy to provide it! Thanks

Boot into Safe Mode and see if issue persists. If so, it’s most likely a startup item or extension you have installed.

Are you able to try a different mouse? I once had one that would crash one particular computer as soon as I touched it, but the same mouse worked fine on other computers and other mice worked fine on the problematic computer!

Currently, I'm using the trackpad, but I can see if the mouse works.

I didn't even think about that; I haven't had issues like this before, so I just assumed it was completely nrmal MacOS with no programs. I suppose I could try that. The one annoying thing is that the the issue takes, like, 3 days to start happening, but I suppose it would be fine.
