Anyone else notice the rubber around the screen does not touch the panel? My glass has a small gap around the entire glass and dust gets trapped in there.

Not a huge issue I guess. I use a posi it to wedge out the dust. Still annoying

Yes. Same for me.

I probably never would have noticed. Yep, mine has a gap, about the width of a piece of paper, all the way round. It's so uniform, that I assume it's designed to be that way.

(Tillsbury, are you holding the paper perpendicular to the screen, pushing backwards through the screen? That's how I slide the paper in... if I have the paper parallel to the screen, and slide outwards, it won't slide in to any gap)

Assuming that's just the way it is, then another way to clean any dust out would be a piece of paper! (Although presumably whatever cloth you wipe your screen with would be fine too) I haven't noticed it collecting dust unduly.

I brought it in to the Genius Bar and they replaced the panel. Tight all around on new one. No gap. Cleaning cloth just swept dust into the gap.

Bugged be so I brought it in.

I noticed this today on the left side of the screen. Does it really matter? Isn't the screen sealed (glass and LCD together)?

Yup, I have that gap in my screen too, more so in the left, a little bothered about that too. Should I bring it in to the genius bar? Do you reckon they will do anything about it?

Also I noticed a bit of coating wearing off the screen. (saw it after I shut down the laptop and looked at the screen under the light) :( anyone with similar issue?

Cheers.

I ended up returning mine. The screen gap bothered me but it really just didn't have the horsepower I wanted. The screen coating these things worries me also...
