Screen Glitch in Gmail Menu

    I don't think (I hope not) it's anything serious, but have you ever seen this before? The buttons, search bar and some of the text is there, but the background is all screwy. I refreshed my screen and it was fine. I've never seen it before and not after.

    This happened to me while I was working in Aperture, switched back to Safari, which was already open and saw this.

    It happened on a 2012 rMBP 15" 2.7GHz 16GB 768SSD

    Just wondering. Did you try refreshing the page? I used to see similar graphical glitches several years back when I was on my old Dell (cheap, slow computers are no fun). But can't say I've seen that in recent years.

    Yes, after I refreshed it, it was normal once again. It hasn't happened since.

    Hopefully, it was just a one-time thing. :)

    That's what I'm thinking.

    Just a kind of educated guess, but Aperture may have stolen or leaked into some of the memory space that Safari was using to hold the background for the page. That should be unlikely because of how Macs use memory. Maybe it was just a memory compression/decompression error.

    Not sure, but at least it's fixed :D
