Love this 27" but the gloss is not too cool... I can still see my reflection even if I turn off the light. those sticky screen will be a nightmare to put on... plus I don't think there will be a size that big. Any other alternative? Why do they need the gloss? Is that because it will create a sharper screen output? I notice that once I add an anti-glare sticky screen on my ipad the screen looks kinda fuzzed. Before that, the screen is really sharp.

I'd try to see if you can tweak the placement a bit.

The gloss isn't a problem if I'm sitting right in front. On the couch it is somewhat annoying in certain lighting conditions.

Generally, glossy displays give more vibrant colors.

My anti-gloss tv tends to give me more grief. The placement leaves room for improvement.

there is no satisfying solution to the gloss , either you like it or not ?
The majority do love that glossy screen and cant get enough glossy displays around them .
I hate them with a passion and would not even take one as a gift !
I live in a loft with big roof windows facing south west , so any glossy display is only usable as a mirror during daytime and during night its only usable sort of, like you mentioned without lights in the room and only in certain angles cant use one if i sit direct in front
