screen loose

When my macbook is closed the screen part is loose moving left to right. normal??

No - not normal - when the screen is closed the very strong magnets should hold it firmly. If it is moving then something is not aligned properly in the hinge area. Has it been dropped ?

How much give does it have? Push it as far as it goes (with out breaking it) and take a picture. It def. will move a little bit...
