Hello I have a Macbook Air 2015 13inch, and today I opened up my Mac and saw a messed up screen with colors all over the place. This happened to me once before but I didn't think much of it. To fix it all I have to do is close the mac and reopen it and its gone. Should I take this too Apple for them to check it out, or its not a problem?

To figure out if it's software or hardware related log in and take a screen shot (shift command 3)

The file will save to desktop. Post that image.

If it's clear and normal then it's hardware. If it's a garbled mess then it's a software issue.

Hardware - take to Apple

Software - fresh install

I should have thought of that before, right now I already closed my display reopened it so everything is fine. The last time I had this problem was a month ago.

EDIT: How does Apple repair Macbooks? Is it like the iPhone where they replace it with a refurbished phone? Or do they actually repair your own Macbook?

They do a diagnostic at the bar then they either tell you it's software which they will reinstall for you or you can do yourself. If it's a hardware issue they take the device and repair it. You'll be quoted an eta.

I'd lean towards hardware. Thats the way my old 2008 MBP started acting up.

Reload OS, if it still persists then it's time to hit the apple store and swap it for a refurbished or they'll replace the board
