my dad knocked over my macbook pro and its all messed up now, the screen is cracked sorta and it just likes to shut off. i bought the best buy protection plan thingy with it, the best one you could buy. if i were to bring it to them and i get a new one, would i get the new macbook pro? or a refurbished one of the model i have? i got my mac book pro about 3 years ago so its not the most up to date one.

thanks for any help!

What does your Best Buy protection cover?
Usually, this is the case for a personal insurance, as your dad accidentally damaged your laptop. In that case, you would only be getting the money that your MacBook Pro is still worth.

Edit: You might want to change the title of the thread into something more specific.
