I am new to the watch and was wondering if the general population (on this board) uses screen protection for the "sport" models

I don't, only because I think they look terrible with screen protection.

I have had my watch for around 2 weeks now and have two very fine scratches on the screen. I can only see these scratches with the LED on the back of my iPhone, however, they are there.

I don't really think you need it. I don't even use screen protectors on my phones anymore because glass has gotten so resilient against scratches these days. I'm pretty sure the Ion-X Glass on the Sport model watches is stronger than the glass in the iPhones anyway.

You should be okay as long as you don't rub sand against the screen.

Wouldn't worry about a screen protector on the Watch.

I do use screen protector, the one you have to apply a spray to the film first and let it dry for 12+ hours. It doesn't cover the full screen but sticks pretty well to the corners. It's this one from the image. [IMG]
