I just got a screen protector in the mail for my new 17" MBP, and this thing makes my matte screen a glossy, I like it. But...with the glossiness comes a glare, and it also has a crease in it, it came like that, and I'm not happy about it. When I want a screen protector, I want it to look like it was part of the screen, not some plastic sheet I threw on for the hell of it you know?

So, take the slightly creased, glare-ridden screen protector...or just assume I won't screw up my screen?
Argh. And the screen protector has scratches and weird blemishes. I'm not very satisfied, should I just deal with it in order to protect my screen?

In the past 5 or so years of using laptops at home and work, I've never used a screen protector nor saw the need for one. What are they supposed to protect against anyway? ;)
