Do the iPhone 12 Pro and 13 Pro use the same Ceramic Shield covered front screen? I’ve always used glass screen protectors. More so for protecting against hairline scratches. I also like the feel of glass screen protectors when swiping, etc. Does the Ceramic Shield protect against hairlines scratches? I am debating on going without a screen protector this time around.

If you don't want any hairlines at all go for the screen protector I'm definitely slapping a glass one on mine straight away.

Yeah, better to be safe than sorry, but the thought of going bareback is intriguing 😉

I use the Belkin glass screen protectors that the Apple Store machine applies. Nothing on their website either. I emailed them. They got back to me with this:

“Thanks for getting in touch! We currently don’t have any product designed for iPhone 13 series. Continue checking our website to keep posted with the new developments.”

That is very surprising in my opinion.

The agent likely doesn’t have any clue. For the last several years when I’ve picked up my new iPhone on release day at the Apple Store, they’ve always been able to apply the Belkin tempered glass screen protector, or even the plastic, using the applicator device. They’ve always had the appropriate protectors and moulds/cutouts for the new iPhones to use from day one. I would be genuinely surprised if this wouldn’t be the case again this year.

As a pro phone case maker myself, even I don't need SP as my cases provide great protection.

I do use Glass Screen Protector

For 2 reasons:
1, it will keep the minor scratch away
2, Easy to clear

The Belkins are available on Apple.com, which means the Apple Store should have the machine applied ones on launch day.

Always used cheap ones from Amazon in packs of three. Use the third one close to trade in time.

I have the same issue every time. I buy apple care because this will be the year I go bare back. I receive my phone. Start getting nervous. Put a screen protector and case on it and apple never hears from me again.
This 👆.

I tried to get them to pay for a battery replacement on my 11 pro that I am giving to my kiddo - to basically give a fresh new phone with a new battery. Since my battery max is at 89%, I was denied...but I told them they have had no claims on my Apple Care + - as expected, didn't matter - no go. Would have to pay the $69.

At what battery health would they replace? My 12 Pro is at 86% already.

Zagg offers an edge to edge screen protector, also helps filter blue light, & lifetime warranty if you need a replacement, just have to pay for shipping. I've used Zagg on my Pixel phones for years, and although this one is expensive, it looks like Verizon is offering it at a discounted rate through their My Verizon app. *Not a paid advertisement* hahaha.

Personally, I get them. Piece of mind.
I had a real deep scratch in my 12 Pro Max screen protector a few months ago, no idea how I got it, along with little fine smaller scratches . But if I didn't have one the screen, not 100% sure if bare screen would have handled it.

I just ordered a 3 pack on Amazon, these are pretty inexpensive now.
Tozo, I've had a good experience with them with my 12 Pro Max.

- Also "Aliun", which also comes with a camera lens, the whole area protector (That however I never used - no idea how it would affect photos.)

They replace it at 80%. (My 12 Pro Max is 83% just short of 10 months. I wont even get into it, that's a whole other thread

...but no, Apple simply will not replace it. *Others have had better luck.
Just a bit happy to trade this in next Fri. ( I just HOPE the health of 13PM is better..all I can say)

Ok, forget the TOZO item on Amazon. It arrived today, box doesn't match the photo on Amazon what so ever, opened it and it's for the 12 Pro Max. 🙄

Will return it Monday.

Apple are selling the Belkin screen protectors for the 13. Didn’t know that they installed it in store, they look good. Think I’ll pick one up when I get my phone
I ordered one today as well. Hopefully, the store will have some on Friday when I pick up my phone and can install it for me. If so, I will do an on the spot return of the online purchase, as the ones they use with their machine are slightly different packaging.
