Yeah, better to be safe than sorry, but the thought of going bareback is intriguing 😉
I would love to go without a case and a screen protector but I just know I will drop it.

Are Apple Stores fitting screen protectors for you still?

I have a case but no protector, so I thought I’d pop to my local store to get one fitted.

As far as I know, they are still doing it. I’ll find out Sunday morning.

I hope so! Phone arrives today and made an appointment for Sunday hoping they will have them for the Pro Max.

PSA: The Belkin screen protector that Apple sells in-store for use with the machine applicator is not available due to quality control problems. Buy the Belkin screen protector from the Apple store instead, as it doesn't have the same problem and Apple will even install it for you when you go to pickup your phone. I got mine done today for the 13 mini.

Ordered the Ailun protector for the 13 Pro Max, love the Camera Protection but hate the fact that Ailun isn't full coverage. Just ordered me an ESR Amorite from Amazon, too bad it won't be delivered. until Monday.

Okay, good to know. Did they do a good job of installing the one off the rack (self-install kit)?

Absolutely. I went with the ESR tempered glass, not necessary for drops per say , but for those hairline scratches that bug me. Feel like there’s no screen protector, and the cut out it’s perfect on the little speaker on top. Rocking that and Apple care + with no case 😎

Anyone used the brand ESR? Seems like a lot of people like them on this forum.

I bought ESR for the first time after years of using Zagg. So far very impressed, easy to install and it’s close enough to full coverage I don’t even notice it with a case.

I purchased the Spigen full coverage screen protector for my iPhone 13 pro max that was delivered on Friday. I’m not using my iPhone 13 pro max yet simply because of the anxiety of fitting the screen protector correctly lol. I’m going to fit it in a minute, I genuinely hate fitting screen protectors because of the above mentioned anxiety of getting it right. I do, however install one on every phone I have. For me, it just makes sense to use a screen protector and a case. I’m not losing anything by installing a screen protector and it’s piece of mind for when it comes to selling my phone, or upgrading via my carrier.

Is it a glass or film screen protector?

It’s a tempered glass one. This is it. There’s a 2 pack for £16.99. I like Spigen products.

I hate screen protectors and haven’t used one or attempted to fit one since the iPhone 4 days. Reading about how good these glass ones are nowadays and how easy they are to fit, I just got the spigen easy fit to try.

Installed perfectly in only a couple of minutes, completely hassle free. And it actually feels really good to use, doesn’t really feel like I’m losing out on the proper screen. Time will tell whether I stick with it but screen protectors have definitely come on a lot since I last tried them!

I received the Tozo screen protectors for my 13PM today and I have to say it’s an impressive product. The coverage is larger than the iCarez I had been using and it’s thinner. In the past these thinner protectors have had poor oleophobic coating so time will tell with this one. So far, so good.

As mentioned there’s some issue with Belkin. The apple stores won’t install it for you and some have stopped carrying it. Had to buy a zagg one and do it myself.

I installed the Spigen glass protector last night and just now did the phone update. I am not happy with the Spigen. If I hold the 13 PM up to my 12 PM I see a difference. My 12 did not have a protector, the first time and I have had every new iPhone since first day way back when. I am going to live with this for awhile and may take it off. The 12 PM with none is superb color etc. Your thoughts?

What is it you don’t like about it and why didn’t you just get the Belkin directly from Apple?

I haven't used screen protector on any of the iPhones I've had. X, 11Pro, 13Pro. I trade them in often enough I don't care. Not that I'm careless with the phones. I put case on them. The edge of the case I feel protects well enough. But if you must absolutely have no scratches like others said go ahead and use a glass screen protector. My 11 Pro did get very fine hairline scratches that were only visible under certain light angles.

That’s only based on your usage. It depends on what environment the phone is in daily and for me personally a screen protector is a MUST. Ceramic Shield or not the screen is going to get scratched no matter what and unlike you I pay in full for my phones so I do need to maintain the condition of my phones as I don’t just take them in and trade them.

I’ve stopped worrying about the screen so much because of the Upgrade Program. It was something I used to fret about but never did like screen protectors. Knowing I’m just getting a new phone in a year’s time had banished that anxiety.
