Screen protector for rMBP

Has anyone had a screen protector on their Retina MacBook for a prolonged period of time, and would recommend it?

I know it's not a touchscreen but i'm worried something will end up scratching it (dust, lint etc).

Hi,

I purchased a refurbished late 2013 Macbook pro 13" in January 2016 from apple.ca and installed a glass screen protector about a week after I got it.

I didn't see much difference in picture quality when I compared my rMacbook's display with a glass protector to other rMacbooks without a screen protector. However, the difference in picture quality between a plastic protector and a glass protector is quite noticeable.
