Screen protector to prevent staingate issue

Hi,
my gf gave me her macbook pro (mid 2014) 13", and it has a new screen replaced by Apple because the previous one had the famous screen delamination (as known as staingate).

i was thinking about buy a screen protector to prevent it, but i don't see people using it very often. is it a good deal? i saw a bunch of these, matte, clear, covering the entire screen etc etc, i'm kinda lost.
