Screen protectors - Glass or Film?

I've never used glass and have always went with Spigen's crystal clear film. Can anyone tell me any true difference or just personal preference? Which lasts longer?

I've always used plastic. I know it's not scratch resistant or as clear as glass, but I didn't want to deal with chipping or more glass that could shatter.

Plastic screen protectors are cheap too, so if it gets damaged I can just put another one on at minimal cost.

I bought a real nice glass screen protector off of someone on a buy/sell/trade site on Facebook. It was so amazing but then I cracked it bad. I bought more off Amazon, two for like $10. They weren't as awesome but I prefer them now over the Zagg plastic ones I've always bought.

I enjoy the tempered glass ones because then they have the same glide and feel as the iphone glass.

That's not what this thread is for. The OP states he wants to use a protector and wants input on which one folks prefer.

Tempered glass for sure.

I prefer anti glare film protectors, I find the glass shows more fingerprint marks and needs cleaned more often.

Glass! It's sooooooo smooth! We always put the plastic films on our iphones... And we always had to change them multiple times a year (and I HATE changing screen protectors because I am OCD and it never fails that I get at least one teeny tiny speck of dust that I then have to work to get out... UGH!)

Last year we finally got glass and OMG what a difference!

I have the am glass on my 7 now
It's just to slippery
Are they all the same?
Or are some glass not super slippery
