Apple is selling the Belkin screen protectors so I would assume they still have the machine. Has Spigen not matched the notch in the past?

On my X most screen protectors I tried didn't match the notch. I'm hoping they have gotten better .

I don’t want the self-install kit. I want the machined installed one (only at available at the Apple Store).

My post addressed the concern that they might be out of stock. You take the protector and your iPhone down to the store and they will install it. It is order-able from the Apple web store, if you can find it. Your link works. A search shows a different Belkin product.

Yes, I understand, but there are two separate kits for this product: self-install (order online or purchase in store) and machine-installed (purchase in store only). The one for the self-install kit cannot be used in the machine. I want the machine-installed one because there will be no bubbles and the alignment will be perfect.

I much prefer the 'cover the notch' version which looks less like you're even using a protector (especially if you have a case which can help mask the edges).

I think I had icarez on my X but just bought something that looks similar from amazon UK for my 11 until I can find an affordable icarez option - ebay from the US is too expensive.

Would also be curious about a rear glass protector instead of a plastic clear case just to protect against light bumps/scratches - any recommendations for 11?

I’ve used icarez for years now and love them. They’re easy to install and it feels like and looks like there’s no screen protector at all. I use the one with black edges and it seemingly blends in. When I first apply, there may be some bubbles here and there but after a few hours, they magically disappear.

Thank you .. to be certain, the Xs max and 11 max screens are identical correct? I tried searching but can’t find it

Thanks for pointing out the fact that I ordered the wrong Belkin protector. The price should have tipped me. However it is order-able if one is worried about supply. It is now searchable on the Apple store website.

looks to me to be exactly the same one I've been paying ~$40 for every year and have installed by the store machine. From last years receipt:

BELKIN IGU SC+ IPH XS MAX CLEAR

I asked Zagg again and they still claim it is not the same and they won't fit.

Yes. They use a special machine which does a perfect install. Perfect alignment and no air bubbles.
That's awesome ... But I live 45 minutes away from the Apple Store. I'll just have to go "old school" and wish for the best.

I've tried install an Zagg protector for XS to an 11 Pro and it keeps getting lose around the edges. Corners are worse, but its a bit lose around the whole screen protector. Not sure why. It worked fine on our other XS.

I was looking to have the Belkin glass screen protector fitted at the Apple store in Edinburgh today but was told they do not have the correct machine to do so and that I should try again in a week or so. I suspect they were simply not wanting to do it and concentrate on selling iPhones instead.

For now I’ve ordered and received the Spigen set with the tray to aid fitting, from what I can see it looks like it will line up correctly.
