Does the Apple Store this year have the machine to put on screen protectors (glass or film)??

I thought they eliminated the machine.
After having this done on my iPhone 11 Pro Max - and my machine-applied Belkin curved screen protector is *still okay after 3 years - I tried to use the same one for my daughter's 12, and it was an epic fail (edges did't seat/sit).

So now we use the way cheaper ($7/each vs. $50 for Belkin) Spigen GlasTR EZ FIT whatever - I've been (knock on wood) successful with every one (iPhone 12 multiple times, 12 mini multiple times, 13 Pro multiple times, and even iPad Mini x2 and iPad Pro 11). I was also successful with iPhone 11/XR, but it's not curved, so there is a lot of gap, as is the case with others.
I did find that it was more "slick" and resisted fingerprints better than other screen protectors, which is nice.

I know they didn’t have it for the 13 pros but I didn’t know they totally eliminated it. Great concept.

Just left the store in Tampa florida and they are applying Belkin glass & plastic screen protectors with the little box applicator.

The metal box application or just the one that comes in the box

Looks like the screen protector jigs but on steroids. Only the employees were allowed to use it. Definitely plastic and a bit of metal.

When you bought a screen protector they hand you a little paper bag type file with the protector and told you to “stand over therel.

How does it look?
If the employee is skilled it looks invisible but if the new/less experienced employee tried…. Ughhh. Lots of bubbles but they will replace it until you are happy.
I sat at the table waiting for my phone to finish doing its thing and watched at least 10 applications.

I installed Spigen on 14 Pro today - still batting 1.000
Wish I could say the same about phone-to-phone transfer - I'm on my FOURTH attempt (data transfer failed) and still can't send iMessage/do FaceTime.

They should use Spigen. I've literally avoided dust even up through iPad Pro size (which isn't really the applicator - it went on diagonal the first time but I re-applied... a little better).
Phones are perfect with the plastic guide. South Koreans > crappy Chinese glass.

Another sad story to some of you guys, Spigen comes from China.

Spigen EZ Fit is the way to go. Application is always perfect. Results always perfect.

except one of mine has a glue flaw or a slight crack... oddest thing I've ever seen (and yes I panicked about cracked screen on a 2-hour old iPhone).

Another vote for the Spine EZ Fit. The kit comes with a frame that guides the screen protector. I got a perfect application so I'm very happy with it. $34.99 and worth it.

$34.99!?!??!?
Amazon - I paid $12.99 pre-launch for two of them.

Oh for sure apple is doing them. Infact yesterday they were having some kind of issues with the screen protectors and AOD. Not sure if a screen protector would affect AOD??

Yes. I just applied mine when I picked up my iPhone on launch day. The associate who applied it did a really good job, can’t even tell there’s a screen protector. Yes , the price is pretty expensive when you think about it, because you can find them on Amazon for like $5 with shipping. But, I’ve gone the route and they scuff and scratch easily , the ones from apple , Belkin brand I believe, hold up very well. If anything happens, you have full warranty. I’ve gone through a few replacements through warranty, very easy process.

I do agree with Belkin warranty.
But quality of the expensive Belkin ones is spotty; I’m 100% on Spigen and my family tends to break them.

Hands down, TORRAS. Having installed and used probably close to a hundred protectors on a multitude of devices, from a multitude of manufacturers, TORRAS wins.
Exceptional quality, phenomenal pricing and even better customer service.
I switched to TORRAS 3 years ago and never looked back. Also switched family and friends to same brand…never a single complaint.
