I accidentaly bought a cheaper version of th spigen.

It was an accidental purchase because it looks the exact same as the Spigen, which I intended to buy. There is four in the box and two camera protectors which went in the trash.

It wasn’t as easy to install as I’d hoped. I went through two of them and in spite of sending like five minutes trying to get all of the dust off, I still ended up with some dust under it. I am thinking of going in to the Apple Store and just having them do it. I suck at it

I have a Spigen sitting here ready to go (14PM arrives Thursday), but I just ordered a FloLab with the 20% off. On my 12 I really preferred having the black outline, since I could notice a little rainbow look on the edges without it.

my slightly cracked (or glue issue) early-production 14 Pro Spigen glass screen was replaced with a single replacement. Kind of cheap by Spigen.

The glass protector cracking is frustrating for me so I always use this film screen guard from Gadgetshieldz which can self-heal the scratches that occur on it and this is more than enough for just scratch protection cause the 14 series display glass is strongest!

I think with Ceramic Shield, which can chip and scratch but not shatter (easily), this is a good option.

Esp. with dirt/dust on edges scratching real screen

This is the first time I have ever used a glass protector, always opting for film. I had film on my old Note 20 and forgot it was even there. I have a film protector on my Apple Watch right now. The great thing about film protectors is that if there are any bubbles left, they disappear after a day. The bad thing is that they are easier to have dust get under them because it takes more time to apply them. At least that’s been my experience. After a while, I forgot to see the few dust specs that were there because dust doesn’t leave air bubbles on film protectors. I managed to get the film protector on my watch with no dust because it’s so small. It doesn’t even look like it has a screen protector on it. I think that the best thing about some of the glass protectors, like the Spigen I got, is the plastic applicator it uses to get a good fit. Unfortunately mine is just slightly off center and there are a few micro dust particles under it. I don’t see them anymore. I have been half tempted to take it off and make sure the particles aren’t under the screen instead.

The only reason I didn’t go with film is that I don’t know what it would do to the camera quality. The glass doesn’t seem to affect it at all. The film protectors I had on older non apple phones had cutouts for pinhole cameras. That said, I have probably take about ten selfies in the last five years. :D

Yes, dust is a problem I use a Spigen case that covers the edges of the screen so it is fully protected!

Flolab nano armor edge to edge is what is on my 12promax and will be on my 14 pro.
I’ve tried so many different brands and will reapply over and over until I get a perfect installation. I do mine in a steamy bathroom and use a lint roller to make sure all the lint is off both the screen and protector after cleaning both surfaces. I’ve even tried the sapphire Shellrus - nice edge to edge coverage but my first one broke in less than a week without even a drop or hard hit that I was aware of.

So what’s my absolute favorite? The FloLab. It has great coverage and the oleophobic coating lasts way longer than any others I’ve tried.

Yes, the film protector is great when it comes to bubbles which don't stay long, and applying it was pretty easy for me cause I watched the video, as well as the customer support, recommended me to turn off the fan which will attract dust while applying so there is no dust when I applied the protector! As you said it doesn't even look like I've got a screen protector on my phone, I like glass protectors too but it cracks soon. This film protector has a pill-shaped cutout for the front camera and it doesn't affect the camera quality!

Just applied the amFilm OneTouch Glass Screen Protector (techmatte.com/onetouch) on my 14 Pro and it’s the best experience I’ve ever had with one of these. I always struggle with applying protectors, particularly with little dust specs getting in there. Two big wins here:
-Kit includes a full screen dust sticker, rather than the small one most others include. Makes an enormous difference
-The alignment frame actually works, which was not the case for the last couple I tried. I’m not sure if the frame is better or the protector is just bigger, but it lined up evenly on all sides

It was less than 15 bucks for a two pack on Amazon—very reasonable. Of course I can’t speak to longevity, but I’ll update my thoughts if anything happens. So far so good!

(Full disclosure: I may get a ‘free’ wireless charger from them for sharing my thoughts, but I was going post my opinion either way, so hey why not?)
