iPhone 13 Pro Screen randomly going black

Hello everyone,

Just had a really random issue with my 13 pro. Whilst I was using it the screen just kept going black/turning off, it would then come back to life after a second or so or if I pressed the wake button.

Anyone experience the same issue? Im hoping its an iOS bug as opposed to a faulty phone. Ive restarted and it hasn't done it since!

Yes. Just started today. I restarted phone and it stopped. Did you find any one else or a cause. Hope because a restart stopped it that it’s software but doesn’t make me feel good about the unit after it happened.

Do either of you use Grindr? I seem to only have lag/flickering screen issues when this app is installed..

Yes happened to me too. I don’t have Grindr. Happened when I was using safari and twitter. A restart appears to have fixed it for me too. iPhone 13 Pro Max here.

Happened to me too. I don’t have Grindr. This happens while playing Mario kart Tour or using Cookido App. The navigation bar still there, the itouch doesn’t works. Need to wait at least 1 minute then lock and unlock. iPhone 12 Pro iOS 15.2. Restart / Restore didn’t work

Happened to me today while using the Sense app. I switched into a few different apps and the issue persisted a few times until it just stopped doing it. Don’t think it was app specific and the navigation bar was not present.

Edit: started again minutes later and I noticed the screen was completely off and did not respond to touch input when black.

Mine has started doing this. Is this a hardware or software issue? Any fix?
