I'm in need of a freeware or open source screen recording application.

I've have tried both Copernicus and Jing. Copernicus has no audio support and likes to record very choppy videos. Jing has a strange use interface and I can't even seem to find the videos I create.

As for iShowU and Snapz Pro, those are out of the question. I don't really plan on getting into weekly video recordings. I also don't want to spend $20 on a program I'll only use once. I've tried the demos, and iShowU has this watermark the size of an elephant, and Snapz Pro has a user interface as complex as the Death Star control center. I just want to record a quick video!

I know that there has to be some freeware or open source program out there that I'm missing. It seems to always be that way.

Yes, I'm in that same predicament (for the second time now). I would like to be able to make video tutorials and need a good, free screen recording app for OS X. Everything out there seems to miss the mark - either no audio support or crashes when you zoom the screen, or is only a trial version etc.

Somebody code something!
