The title says it all. It was working fine, until yesterday I got home, and the screen was still on. I opened up system preferences and screen saver was still set to 5 minutes, and I clicked Test and it started up just fine. I restarted the computer, and it still isn't working properly. Any ideas? I am running 10.6.6

What else is running in the background?

Do you have something plugged into the macbook?

My father has desktop photos that rotate to another desktop image every 15 minutes or so. The result is that his screen saver doesn't come on. Something to keep in mind.

As a test I'd close iTunes and see if that makes any difference.
