Hi Everyone.

I have a 2018 mac mini. For my use it needs more then that 3 built in video outputs. I am running into a problem as i also need to use mac to mac screen sharing to work on it remotely once or twice a week. The problem I am having is that when an external display adapter is connected (doesn't matter if its an egu or something as simple as a USB displaylink adapter) the mouse is not responding connect to it. The keyboard works but the mouse will not not click on anything. It shows the mouse moving on the screen but clicks have no effect. If i disconnect the external display adapter then it returns to normal.

Any ideas?

This probably is not the case for you, but I had very similar mouse related issues that were due network issues, either speed, latency, or both.

Exact symptoms, the mouse wouldn't respond to clicks.

Thanks for the reply!

Definitely could be the issue...The extra displays could be trying to send too much data at once. I'll need to try it with the external display adapter plugged in but with only a single display attached.
