Apple's vision for AVP is that it is awesome for collaboration at work. They have for years been building a "better screen sharing" for that that now was released as Spatial Personas combined with Share Play. That vision is strong.
Unfortunately not everyone I meet with at work (online) has AVP. In fact, no-one has. Unless AVP can support screen sharing with existing collaboration platforms (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams), it cannot be used for meetings at work. The current "share what you see" is useless: it does not allow sharing a presentation or document due to you gaze naturally shifting around.
What do you think - will Apple start supporting sharing windows (screen sharing) in AVP some day? Or is the Share Play vision just so different that Apple will hold on to not supporting windows and thus not supporting working with anyone who does not have AVP? Could they provide Share Play as an API that Zoom, Google, and Microsoft could support?
