iPod touch Screen shift, half of screen black

Hi, I've an iPod Touch 2G with the latest firmware and occasionally when using an App (safari, maps, facebook) the screen image will shift upwards leaving the bottom half black:



The touch layout will remain as before i.e. if I touch where the buttons should be normally it will work, but the image is screwed.

Any ideas why, how to fix?

Hmmm... That is weird. Have you tried restoring yet? If so, and the problem persists, I'd have to say hardware issue. Apple's warranty should cover it, so no worries 😉.

thats really weird. Is it always with the same apps? Try contacting apple. They should replace it for free.
