How can a capture a screen shot of google to paste into my blog?
Screenshots on the Mac are controlled by using the following...
Command+Shift+3 does the whole screen
Command+Shift+4 allows you take a section of the screen
You can get a window or other area by doing Command+Shift+4 and then hitting the space bar.
would you believe I have a keyboard that has no "command" key ( not made for macs i guess)
I think the "Control" key does pretty much the same thing as the Command key, so try doing it with the Control key.
ON EDIT: If not the Control key, maybe try the "Windows" key.
If is a windows bases computer the command key would have an ugly windows logo on it.
Look in your Mac's Applications folder. There is a folder there named Utilities. Open that, then launch the application in there named Grab.app. It will let you capture a selection, window, or the whole screen using menu choices.
If you take and post a lot of screenshots, try this also:
One of the cutest little OS X apps EVAR. It integrates screenshot taking with simple (but very nice looking) markup tools, easy crop/resize, and webhosting as well. Love this app....
