So I have noticed that my MBPs' screen will show "noise" or static intermittently. This happens when I awake the computer, connect a DVI up to it or even when i open a new tab up in Safari.

I made an appointment with Apple, and my logicboard was replaced a year and a half ago. I have noticed that this is getting more and more common (with my computer). Is it the screen or LB?

Do you have one of those pre-Unibody MBPs? The one with the 8600 GPU is still covered by an extended warranty, as that card failed a lot.

If it is not that MBP, could you please tell us what specific MBP and Mac OS X version you have?

Mine is an early 08 (peryn), and I have AC until 11/11, so I am not worried about the warranty. I am just wondering if it is most likely a video card versus the screen. If it is the video card, I am wondering if they will give me a new MBP since this will be the second LB. I have had the keyboard replaced as well
