Something similar to this happens to the Pebble often. Manufacturing problem probably. Whatever happened, you will need a new watch. Apple should give you a new one tomorrow without a problem.

I would have put back on the original strap before taking it to the Apple store!

"We're sorry, you've voided your warranty by putting on a non-apple branded band." ;)

They gave me the retail one. Too bad I didn't bring the box.. Only the charger..
They won't give the new box. Here's the pic anyway.

By the way. My watch is way over 14 days and I don't have AppleCare.

Yes but after 14days usually they send it for repair or give you a product in a plain box and a unique serial on it.

They won't give you the box? What are they going to do with the friggen box that they won't give it to you? Seems odd to me...
They I asked if I brought everything so they can swap everything. unfortunately watch and charger only.

I guess it's only a proof or for justifying that they swap a defective watch. They put the defective one on the box.

They normally put the defective watch back in the box to ship back. This is also true of all white box replacements. I bet had the OP brought the old box, they would have taken that and given him the new one.

True. Genius girl told me if I brought everything she will not even bothering opening the new one.

I'm always blown away the experience always here in CT (Westfarms Mall)

Ahh, okay that makes sense. Can't say I've ever actually had to return any Apple products so never gone thru with all that jazz.
