Hi everyone,

I noticed something odd in my screen time settings. I have it set to share across devices. My phone is called “Christopher’s iPhone”. However in my devices list, my phone’s data is under “iPhone” and when I choose “Christopher’s iPhone” it’s blank. So how can I fix this? The only iPhone listed under my iCloud devices is “Christopher’s iPhone”.

Thanks!

thats strange are you noticing that the time showing across each device is different even with share across devices option turned on. thanks

I’d try changing the device name to see what happens. I’d also try turning screen time off, restarting the device, then turning it back on.

Did you change phones recently? This occurred when I purchased a new iPhone. Been the same since the first iOS 12 release.

With that in mind, I wonder if it happens when you’ve restored from a previous device.

Maybe clearing out iCloud backups of old devices may help!?

Not sure, worth a try though.
I know there are a few threads discussing the same issue.

I've had this problem since upgrading to my XS Max. Devices in Screen Time show 2 iPhones and 1 iPad, 3 devices total. I no longer own my X, its been wiped, no longer linked to my Apple ID and sold, but yet Screen Time Devices still shows that X. When I tap on it it tells me no screen time data to report...

There are other threads floating around on this topic. I sent in a Support request to Apple months ago, never heard back.

I should only see 2 devices, my iPhone and my iPad. Not a device I no longer own. I've checked in Find my iPhone, my X not listed, it is no way linked to me anymore. According to Screen Time, it is. Very frustrating.

I deleted back ups of my iPhone and iPad. Turned off Screen Time on both devices. Powered down devices. Signed out of my devices and signed back in, turned Screen Time back on. Still shows 3 devices.

I've tried everything. Nothing will correct this. Hopefully in iOS 13 this gets sorted out.
