I read it out with 3utools verification report ;)
What platform are you using this on? It’s not showing up in App Store. Maybe I can change to UK store and check again. Also did the best panel you found happen to be on a white 15PM?

3utools works fine on Windows platform.

Believe me, identifying the panel type means nothing: there are both bad Samsung and LG panels. It's entirely random. Really.

Only what you see with your own eyes matters.

Swapping phones seven times is a lot: the iPhone 15 Pro Max has better panels than previous series.

Comparing them to those displayed in stores is a bit tricky: you should first disable automatic brightness on your model and crank it up to the maximum. Also, consider that display models have different firmware, which can affect color temperature.

If you want more chances to get a better panel go with the regular pro: the Max series have - generally - more uneven panels then the regular.

Thanks for the feedback. I don’t like iPhones with small screens regular 15 pro is not an option I would even consider. I completely disagree that the 15PM has better panels than previous series. Previously all panels were from same supplier (Samsung) now there are three. Believe me BOE, LG don’t make better panels than Samsung for the iPhone. There is a noticeable difference in quality.

Do you have a 15PM with you now? How much are you betting that you have a Samsung panel?

If you can’t accesso to 3utools I write you the procedure to identify the producer without any tools

Those 15pro and max users, how are you guys having luck with screen uniformity and color cast? My uniformity looks good in 15 pro max but the color cast is more yellow compared to my 14 pro . I have to turn off True Tone. Wondering those upgraded from 14 pro see similar? Love the size coming back from reg pro but the color cast is a bummer!
Pretty bad. Change like more than 5 already. Whites are too yellow is my main problem.

How do I do this?

How do I do this?

Create the sysdiagnoe file, following those steps.

https://it-training.apple.com/tutorials/support/sup075

Wait a while (up to ten minutes) to let it create the sysdiagnose file. Go to settings, privacy and security, scroll down to analysis and improvements, click, then data analysis and scroll to the sysdiagnose file, click on it, then open, share, and choose the file folder.

Now go to the file, click on sysdiagnose, and give it a moment to decompress. Now open the folder that was created, look for the ioreg folder, then inside it, find IODeviceTree, open it, click on the magnifying glass, and type raw-panel. It will find and highlight it in yellow. The value you find below is for your display.

Hey 😁
Today I bought a white 15 Pro Max 256 and unboxed it.

I got a G9N344 Display and a Simplo battery with 4540 mAh. It is purely uniform with white and grey backgrounds.
I think I got an unicorn.
Really happy with it.
Last year I had 4x 14 Pro Maxes and only the white one had the best display.
I think I will get a white one next year too.
I don't think chassis color is any guarantee of good or bad panel. Our both 15 PM's are white ones and panels are one of the worst (in my opinion). Both even came with different panels G9P and G9N. I think G9N we got was exceptionally bad since even G9P was better depending on test pattern and test conditions. Looks like "unicorn" G9N can be very good while I have yet to see "unicorn" instead of just acceptable quality G9P.

That is as good as it gets unless you are viewing that test using photos app. Which test pattern is that exactly? How many 15 PM's you had to go through to get that?

I think a good display is evident regardless of the type of test used, whether with images from the gallery, apps, or the website you mentioned a few days ago.

No, not necessarily, because using Photos app it will use much less aggressive TT and NS plus it will add some image enhancements and all this makes also panel look "better". Even my 15 PM looks pretty much uniform when using Photos app to view test image.

If the screen is not uniform etc... with the photos posted in the previous posts it appears that the display is not uniform!!!!!!!! always with brightness around 10% and with everything active! and therefore it will be possible to see the problem also on safari in the clock app (alarm clock) etc.... So post photos with the images you find in previous posts with a minimum brightness of 10% and everything active and we will see your display! you know I've seen a lot of non-uniform displays starting from iPhone 5 to 15! and most are not uniform (almost all are not) there is no PERFECT one!!! ABSOLUTELY ! you have to be lucky, and you'll get a better display! That's all!

For the life of me on this iPhone I can’t get it to create syslog file after pressing both volume and power button. It works kn my old iPhone but not 15PM.

I finally used the 3utools verification report I still don’t see where it would say G9N or G9P I see GH33 and I guess I have an LG panel it says LG under screen serial number.

Make sure your screen if first turned off when trying this.

Sure if the screen is bad enough it shows most of the time. But I'm talking about checking the screen in my pixel peeping way, which I must admit many people consider screen not an issue if you need to work hard to see the problems.

I know that consumer grade display are rarely perfect. I find some issues with every screen I have but sometimes issues are small enough even for me that I can live with them, like it was the case with my 12 Pro eventually after I exchanged it many many times.

Does anyone know which panel serials are for Samsung or BOE. The one I have according to 3utools is LG and the serial is the attachment.
