All LG displays have this shift problems.
It is normal for a LG panel …

Yeah it’s very frustrating. I’m debating trying to get a launch day 14 pro because those all had Samsung panels.

I’m surprised this thread is still going. Its been nearly 2 months since I stopped reading this thread and accepted the phone I got after 8 exchanges.
Hot tip, you wont find the perfect panel and if you think you have, I almost guarantee there’ll be a problem with it that you haven’t see yet. Do one last exchange if you’re stressing out about it, but do NOT check what type of panel it is and do NOT “check” for defects. Just start using it normally and I promise you’ll forget about it.

People should just strive for "acceptable".
Huge colour shifts that you can notice without looking for it are not acceptable.
Knowledge about the technology can also help ease the stress of using a display that you think may be poor. For example, OLED will always have issues displaying dark greys especially at low brightness, it's just the technology. Some displays fare better than others, but even the best OLED panels will still suffer from inconsistencies due to which part they're cut from.
If you're reading something on a website, and you notice the shift of colour immediately, replace the device. If you have to constantly flick your eyes back and forth for a few minutes just to spot a small inconsistency in screen temperature then you need to just accept the device.
Also very suprised Apple let you get away with 8 swaps. Would be even more suprised if you aren't now blacklisted from excessive exchanges.
There’s a point where it gets unhealthy which is what a lot of this thread is.
No I’m not blacklisted in any capacity. Though I wouldnt recommend doing that.
I was at a family event last night and someone else had an iPhone 15 Pro. I took the opportunity to compare screens briefly, and noticed that they were near identical in terms of brightness and colour temperature. The only immediate difference I noticed was that hers has a blue tint when you tilt the phone, whereas mine is green. Kind of preferred the blue, tbh.
How many swaps is that? 🙂
Those who have tried several units, have you seen 15 PM battery starting full charge capacity only at 4500mAh?
Mine was only 4501mAh when new and it has been slowly getting down from that. Here I see mostly people reporting around 4540mAh readings and that it keeps there for long time. Which seems to be the case with another 15 PM in our family, it started at 4538mAh and has been improving since and getting even around 4550mAh after 20 charge cycles.
Both are with Desay battery and charged mainly using Apple 5W charger. The one with stronger battery gets abused, so that battery is often depleted very low before charged again, while I have been babying mine that has weaker battery, so obviously this is not about usage but battery quality difference between the two.
I'm happy to report my latest G9N is perfect to my eyes. Absolutely love the whites (not yellow at all, like all my previous 15PM), I was shocked even compared to same store units from before it looks way better! Sadly it took 7 iPhones 15PM to get this panel! I know it's a little crazy but it's worth it for me. 🙂
So all others were something else than G9N panels? Is it just me but does it seems like first batches were almost only using G9N and some G9P, and this LG panel is in the later batches? I went through multiple swaps with my previous 12 Pro and back then all newer units were getting worse and worse in terms of uniformity, until I got my hands on to one G9N that was actually from earlier batch (long story how that happened in the end).
Anyway, G9N is probably the best of all if you get middle cut. Not sure about G9P but I haven't seen any that I would call anything but hardly acceptable (saw some demo units with horrible pink tint that could be seen even in bright shop lighting). Mine is G9P, I did not want to jump in to this never ending exchange cycle this time.
Do you see any pink tint stronger in some areas of the screen with TT and NS at 100%R strength?
iMazing (free app for Windows and MacOS) let you take battery readings wireless once you link it to it on the first time.

I didn't know all of the panels, as I was not aware of the 3utools or the manual method to know GXX. But I know for sure, I had an LG panel on my last white 15PM because I checked on 3utools. Also, I agree with your theory that LG panels are being used in later batches since the last 15PM I had was built in November. I was not happy with that panel at all, the whites I didn't like. My previous ones could have been G9N also but the whites were my issues with those too. Additionally, I read some reports about early on in 15PM production, LG was having problems with their yields, and then later other reports mentioned they fixed the issues (mainly with Dynamic Island) so it makes sense Apple started allocating more panels to LG. Thus you have higher chances of getting an LG panel if buying right now. I recall the dates on all of them, I had some built in September, October, and November. The one I'm keeping G9N was built October. Another test I did was checking the store panels, every single one I tested was G9N.
iMazing Profile editor came up when I searched the MacOS App Store, plugged in my phone didn't see anything.
I've been testing also 15 PM demo models whenever I come by one and nearly all of them are G9N.
Anyway, first batch units are likely when reviewers get their units.
It is not in App Store, you can get it directly from imazing dot com. I've been using that app for many years. I don't touch 3u tools myself.

I've never seen a G9Q screen. Always G9N or GH. I thought you were happy with your white 15 PM?
so uniformity and white black colors are good? interesting what is the difference between g9n g9p g9q
I saw one G9Q in demo model but it is 15 Plus. It had terrible uniformity, half screen was pink and half cooler tone.
Probably the best screen is G9N if you find a good "cut", but there are also bad ones like one we got. Not sure if you can find G9P very uniform, I have never seen one myself.
We ordered 2 x identical 15 PM but one came with G9N and the other G9P. I spent a long time comparing them and eventually I chose G9P for myself but not sure it is really better in everyday use. Our other G9N had more issues with certain test patterns and I initially thought it was worse, much worse especially when turning it sideways (landscape mode) it was very easy to see sides looked totally different tint in NS mode while G9P was about tolerable (not problem free and noticeable worse than my 12 Pro with G9N was). Anyway recently I have few times peeked over the shoulder while other family member uses her G9N and it looks pretty much perfect. Not sure why, is it just that grass looks greener on the other side of the fence or it is really better in everyday use. Hard to say for sure if it is different situation than when you actually get to use each one by yourself like I did when I initially compared them.
My point here, probably if you want to jump to panel lottery and keep exchanging until find a good one, I would aim for a good G9N. I‘m happy with my G9N but it is a little bit annoying that the right side of the screen is a bit darker than the left side. Or the left side is brighter than the right side. Also can see it if I read a text here in MacRumors for example 🙈
With the G9Q and G9P it was the same. But my feelings are on the G9N it is more present or I’m mad?! 🙄
Best way to check is go to settings -> display & brightness -> check the whites on both sides. On mine the right side is a little darker and a little bit reddish and the left side is a little bit brighter and blueish.
Otherwise uniformity is really good with dark greys and top to bottom in every brightness levels.

I have a G9N and can't see what you're seeing. Looks good on my panel. I kid you not, I went through 7 15Pm to find this panel and was shocked when compared to store units still looked better especially the whites. Very happy with my display now.
I'm surprised to read about G9Q on 15PM and on 15 plus. 15 Plus doesn't even have high refresh rate. They can do this with software alone?
