Why does everyone like Screens VNC ?

I hate that you have to install the Screens VNC streamer on your pc with all the extra programs it needs.
Then have to create a id from their website just to connect to your pc or mac remotely.

Teamviewer is so much simpler without all the extra programs on your pc. Of course you need teamviewer host on your pc or mac but that is only one program compared to 4.

Is Screens VNC different than Screens? I use Screens from an iPad Pro to my Macs without having to install anything.

Why would you use anything other than the official Microsoft Remove Desktop application available on the App Store? I use it daily to connect to Win 7, Win 10, Win Server 2008 R2, Win Server 2012 R2. It's a native OS X app and it as fast as using the local box.

It's probably because on the Mac things are much simpler than on PC.

On my home network when I want to connect from an iPad to my Mac, the only thing I need is the Screens app on iPad. On the Mac I have to enable screen sharing from System Preferences and that's all.

The Screens Mac app and a Screens account are only needed if I'm away from home and want to connect from the internet to my home Mac. So: two apps and one Screens account.
