I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to Lion a week ago, and I've noticed an interesting (and somewhat annoying to me) "quirk" with the screensaver.

I have the screensaver set to activate after 15 minutes (no big deal, or issues there), or when I move the mouse to a hot corner (no big deal or issues there). Instead of using the Apple screensavers, or any of the photos provided with the OS, I use my own pictures in the Pictures folder (and no, I do NOT use iPhoto), and I have it set to randomly display pictures.

While it does pull the photos from my pictures directory, and ends up displaying them in random order - it starts with the SAME PICTURE every time. This isn't so random.

Is this a bug? Should I expect it to keep doing that? It never did it before I "upgraded" to Lion, so I'm a little confused as to why it would suddenly start doing that.

Random quirk, plus zoom

I have basically the same issue -- using a folder full of jpegs etc. for a screensaver -- and with Lion it starts with the same pic about 75 percent of the time. Very odd. But I have another problem with the screensaver now: Lion shows each image zoomed in about twice as much as Snow Leopard did. Very disappointing, having collected so many nice images. D:<

just tested mine started it 20 times with hot corner and it only started with the same one twice i don't have zoom issues either

is this what your settings are like?
