anyone else having a problem where their tv4k is just using the same 3 screen savers over and over?
I have it set to download daily but still just the same three.
I have on rare occasion seen t play a couple of different ones but not for over a week now.
 
Yep, I have noticed that too. But to be fair that also happened a lot on my 4th Gen ones too. I have also noticed that sometimes at night it will play daytime screensavers.
 
The winter screensaver from temp apvtv4 was amazing via Sony 4k non hdr t.v.
I pray it’s included with tomorrows 4k ap t.v.
Icy hills screensaver.
 
I turned the live wallpapers off. I got thoroughly sick of looking at Dubai. I'd rather look at other cities or natural scenes.

This is annoying me. Set to daily but same three over and over again.
 
I have a desert and some airport or something. Oh ya and every angle of Dubai. At this point I'm probably more familiar with the streets of Dubai then the residence are.

Yep. Dubai daytime scene, desert, and airport are my three on constant loop.

That is strange. There are definitely separate screensavers for day- and nighttime.
I will need to check, if they are still switched now on mine, after I turned off the location services on tvOS.
At least now it refuses to autoswitch dark- and light UI themes. Could also impact the switching of screensavers.

I see what you did there ;)

I downloaded all the HDR versions, patched the fourCC to hvc1 (basically throwing away the Dolby Vision metadata), and set the videos to rotate as screensavers on my Nvidia Shield. The HDR10 "core" works perfectly and looks amazing. Really hope Apple updates this manifest soon with more videos!

Well it’s actually set as the Kodi screensaver (I don’t really use the Shield for Netflix/Amazon etc because it can’t output Dolby Vision). Used the Video Screensaver addon and pointed it to a directory on my server with the patched .mov files! Took 2 min to set up.
